MIT is always killin it! Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are working on color coated panels of glass or plastic (installed in some cases as windows in residential houses) that will actually produce electricity. With solar cells bordering the panels, light particles are redirected to the edges to literally produce energy. Just think you could have windows in your home that, by their mere existence, could be powering your lights or stove or vibrator! They hope to have the first round of commercial production up and running in three years.
